I've been interested in art all my life. The love of all sorts of art whether 2 or 3 dimensional, led me to go to college for art.
I attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. for graphic design, graduating in 1985.
In 1985, I married my husband who also attended RIT.
We have two children, Kelley and Christopher, both grown. Kelley will soon be getting married and Chris is a Personal Trainer.
My work ranges from logo design, illustration, Raku-fired sculpture, to murals both corporate and private, and 3-D pet portraits.
Collaborating with my father,Donald Everett Wood, a children's book author, is fun as well as challenging! We have been working together on his books about his horse and goat and their adventures: 'The Adventures of Star and Hiccups of Happy Valley'.
Currently, I've been exploring photography...especially nature related material such as the koi pond in my back yard.
Working as a receptionist at a Veterinarian Office, I'm able to see many breeds of dogs and cats. I've had fun collecting pictures and I'm now starting to create oil paintings in my new fun find of soluble oils.
